Elizabeth Graham is currently the 7th and 8th grade resource Special Education teacher at Stephen K. Hayt Elementary School. Ms. Graham grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and developed her love for education there. Ms. Graham completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin- Madison with a double major in Communication Arts and Hebrew in 2001. Ms. Graham was an aide at a school for students with severe and profound disabilities for two years in Northbrook, IL before returning to graduate school. She completed her graduate degree at National Louis University in Evanston, IL in 2005 and received her Masters in Teaching- Special Education. Ms. Graham has her LBS1 as well as her middle school certification in language arts and math.
Ms. Graham is beginning her ninth year of teaching at Hayt Elementary School. She is the co-chair of the PBIS committee, as well as on the special education committee and the scheduling committee. She is also involved with Elevate and other various after school programs. Ms. Graham enjoys being a teacher and getting to know all of her students individually. She loves watching them learn, grow, and mature into adults.
In her free time, Ms. Graham enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys yoga, reading, and jigsaw puzzles.
