Gifted Comprehensive Program
Hayt School’s Gifted Comprehensive Program offers an accelerated program for students in grades first to eighth. The goal is by eighth grade, our students are performing at the high school level. Each spring, students/parents interested in enrolling in our program are tested; teacher recommendation, behavior and attendance are also considerations. For students entering first grade, the students’ DIBELS performance, grades and teacher recommendation are considered.

PreK
Preschool for All (PFA) ensures that all preschool children are prepared to succeed in school and in life. The program offers a minimum of 2 hours and forty minutes of preschool programming for three- and four-year-olds. Preschool for All is designed to promote a comprehensive approach to early childhood development. It encourages collaboration among providers and other community stakeholders to foster creative strategies to meet the complete needs of young children and their families.
Hayt currently has 5 Pre-K classrooms. Four are full day and the fifth is a half day blended classroom, meaning both general education and students with special needs are enrolled.

Algebra for Middle Grades
Hayt applied for and was awarded the Algebra for Middle Grades in May of 2012. Algebra is taught to a selected group of 8th grade students by Mrs. Lauzze. The first class had 20 of 25 students pass the end of year exam, many of the students earning a high pass classification! Eighty percent is one of the highest pass rate percentages of any school, which is a direct result of the passion and dedication demonstrated by Mrs. Lauzze.
